History

1970 – The Company is founded by Mr. Francisco Segura Segura. It was initially conceived for the design and creation of sheet metal stamping tools. Then, its activity evolved until it became a sheet stamper for the toy and furniture industries.

1974 – We worked for FLEX, MACOSA (Currently STADLER ), COINTRA, and we started small works for IBM (Currently CELESTICA).

1977 – The first expansion of the Tooling workshop is made, and at the same time, the Stamping area is expanded, due to the growing volume of work acquired as a provider of the IBM company.

1980 – Due to interest in expansion, Segura Group enters the Automobile Sector as a stamper of small bodywork parts for the Ford company

1982 – Ford certifies us as providers officially

1987 – Expansion work begins on the general offices of Burjasot, which lasts until the end of 1988.

1989 – In April 1989, the Burjasot Stamping Plant is opened, with a visit of important persons from that time (Minister of Industry, Mayor of Burjasot, and President of the Valencian Government and local authorities , among others)

1990 – Highly entrenched in the Automobile Sector, the company becomes an Industrial Group, offering to various clients of the sector engineering activities as well as assembly and cataphoresic painting processes (KTL).

This year they also received the first 1000 metric tones presses, bought in Russia. The assembly process by the Russian employees from the VORONEK brand ended up lasting more than 6 months.

1996 – On 21 December of this year, all of the employees make a visit to Almusafes, to see the construction work of what would be the future Almussafes I plant. The group continues to grow and increase its turnover of new clients.

1998 – In November, the Burjassot plant is opened, along with the new facilities of the IDU (INGENIERIA y Diseño de Utillajes) Engineering Department, having the Minister of Industry, clients and various public figures and authorities attend the event.

2000 – The Almussafes I plant is officially opened, almost in full operation, attended by various managers of the Ford company, the President of the Valencian Government, the Mayor of Almusafes, as well as various ministers and public figures.

2003 – F.Segura receives the 2003 NOVA award which accredits the SEGURA GROUP as the best company in the Valencian Community.

2005 – The Segura Group acquires 100% of a painting facility, a cataphoresic painting (KTL) company, thus expanding its portfolio of services to automobile clients.

2008 – The Segura Group launches a new manufacturing plant in Szolnok, Hungary, with which it provides service to manufacturers of the automobile sector in northern, southern and eastern Europe.

2010 – Currently the F.Segura Group offers the most modern processes in manufacturing, the most efficient engineering, and the design and construction of the most competitive tools and prototypes in the Automobile Sector, with our products able of being used in any part of the world.

2011 – During the course of the year, the Hungary plant was expanded for whichwe received the Q1 award from Ford

2012 – In February, our founder, Mr. Francisco Segura Segura, passed away, although his descendants are already grossly entrenched in the direction and management of the company.

This same year, we get a glimpse of the end of the financial crisis, which coincides with the launchings of projects such as B232 in Hungary, and the granting of various awards such as the FORD AWARD and the VQE AWARD, which show the good trajectory and excellent work done by the Segura Group.

2013 – This year we again received awards such as the FORD WORLD EXCELLENCE AWARD and the JAGUAR LAND ROVER QUALITY, JLRQ Award, which coincide with the beginnings of projects that will again boost the company, such as the V408 from FORD, with emblematic pieces such as the BulkHead, or projects like the SPA (SCALABLE PRODUCT ARQUITECTURE) from VOLVO.

Given the scale of all the projects, the need arises to look for more space for storage and dispatch, and we are forced to rent a logistics plant in Picassent.

At the end of the year we acquire a new unit Manufacturing plant in Almusafes Industrial park, which is named ALMUSAFES II

We also begin our next internationalisation project. We establish ourselves in China, and manufacture in this country for the OEMs located in China.

2014 – We begin working with new clients such as BMW and MERCEDES , and the Segura Group opens offices in HONG KONG , as a launching point for our project in CHINA

2015 – In January it was opened the new central offices building located in The Paterna Tech Park. In this innovative facilities F SEGURA crates his corporate headquarter where are based the central departments as Engineering, Design, Cost estimation, Commercial, Finance, Purchasing, Human Resources, IT and the Corporate General Management.

At the end of the year we acquire a new unit Manufacturing plant in Almusafes Industrial park, which is named ALMUSAFES II. This Plant will be where we move the larger part of our welding processes and it will also be the Logistics centre for client expeditions. The large logistic weight makes the Segura Group invest in automatic management and data collection, implementing the SGA.

We open the F. Segura office in SHANGHAI, to continue our project in China.

2016 – The Metal Federation of Valencia (FEMEVAL) gives SEGURA GROUP the Award in Business Excellence 2015. The group continues to grow, and has large OEMs among its main clients: Ford, Volvo, Jaguar Land Rover, Seat, Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda, BMW and Mercedes.

SEGURA JINHONG JILIN Autoparts Co Ltd is established, creating the first manufacturing plant in China, consolidating the international presence of Grupo Segura.
